Tournament Format
We are excited to announce that the 2024 version of the Iceberg Tournament will be U15 Tier 3 (Body Checking).
The intent of the Iceberg Tournament is to provide a premium tournament experience for all participants with an emphasis on sportsmanship reflected in round robin points awarded and tiebreak formats. All games will feature 3, 20-minute stop time periods with floods following each period.
Ties after regulation in round robin games will have a 5-minute 3-on-3 overtime (time permitting) and will be scored as a tie if no goal occurs in the overtime period. Overtime in Sunday games will be 10 minutes, 3-on-3, followed by a 3-player shoot-out if necessary.
Eight teams will play a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5 games in each of the female and male sides.
