The Cause

The Iceberg Tournament was founded in 2017 to raise funds for and increase awareness of children’s mental health.  All tournament proceeds provide direct funding for mental health assessments. This has allowed children to receive ed-psych evaluations much faster than the typical wait time, which can be years, as well as helping with the cost which can be as high as $2500 for one evaluation.

To date we have succeeded in raising over $50,000.00 and ask that you help us to be even more successful in 2024.  Proceeds from the purchase of tickets for the raffle, donations for programs and 50/50 draws as well as supporting tournament vendors or direct donation at the tournament reception and online will help us continue to support children’s mental health.

Thank you to the cash prize winners for 1st and 2nd places in 2022 (Hinton OK Tire, KC Sabres), 2019 (Lacombe Rockets, Hay River Huskies) and 2018 (Grande Prairie Fountain Tire Knights, Ft St John Flyers) who each declined their prize money , the Ft McMurray Air Liquide Jr Oil Barons, Grande Prairie Knights Happy Trails RV, Camrose Vikings, Ft St John Canadian Tire Flyers, Sexsmith Vipers, Hinton Rockies and Ft St John Cabre Flyers and their families for declining refunds of their entry fees for the tournament in 2020 allowing us to contribute it to our charity.  Way to go teams !!!
